Hydrophilia Polysperma x6 stems for £6.50Hydrophilia Polysperma is one of the hardiest aquarium plants available in the aquarium hobby. Our aquarium plants are grown submerged unlike most aquatic outlets which means your plants won’t melt back as they don’t have to grow new leaves to adapt to your aquatic environment. Also, the photos shown here are of the actual plants we supply. Hydrophilia Polysperma is easy to grow without CO2., (however with CO2 and strong lighting added it will grow better). Even so, this plant still looks great without it, in fact, it can be planted into a gravel substrate as it feeds off the water column as well as the roots making it great for removing unwanted nitrates etc. It is light green in colour (as seen in photos), making it stand out amongst other colour varieties and adds contrast. This plant is great as it grows quickly and tall, so it’s most suitable for the background. Simply plant your cuttings into gravel, sand or any substrate and feed root tabs every 2 months. We also use API Leaf Zone liquid – Shrimp safe fertiliser – but honestly guys, this is an extremely hardy plant for beginners and it’s only because I’m trying to produce the best looking plants and get them to grow as fast as possible.
